Look of the Week: Patrick Dempsey's Malibu Home

We're not big followers of celebrity real estate, but when I happened upon this home on Lonny, I thought it was really beautiful - it has a very livable, relaxed vibe.

The volume of space is fantastic, and the wall of wood adds such great texture and earthiness.

Large windows and raw materials (steel, rustic wood, concrete) keep this space feeling easy, functional, and not the slightest bit fussy.

The best thing about one level homes is the ability to vault the ceilings - the stretch of glass doors is great as well.

Pool-party ready, of course.

According to Lonny, "For a mere $14.5 million you could be moving into this Frank Gehry-designed landmark. Known as the "Tin House," it was originally built for artist Ron Davis and is considered one of the most significant pieces of architecture in Dempsey's Malibu hood."

You can view the rest of the house here.
